The Area Manager is a critical leadership role, responsible for overseeing the operations of 3-5 restaurant locations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this position demands a dynamic and experienced professional with a strong background in the restaurant industry. The focus is on driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding guest experiences while leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence:
    Ensure all locations adhere to company standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Maintain efficient and smooth operations across all restaurants.

  • Team Leadership:
    Recruit, coach, and develop General Managers and team members to exceed performance goals. Provide guidance, foster skill development, and uphold accountability.

  • Performance Management:
    Cultivate a performance-driven culture based on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. Use tools and systems to monitor progress and provide actionable feedback.

  • Quality Assurance:
    Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards, including food safety, inventory management, and health regulation compliance.

  • Training Oversight:
    Manage training programs, including onboarding and certifications, ensuring consistency and excellence in all operations.

  • Strategic Planning:
    Collaborate with the Director of Operations to implement growth strategies and operational improvements. Assist with new store openings, marketing initiatives, and operational enhancements.

  • Communication & Organization:
    Maintain clear communication with teams and leadership. Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure consistency and follow-through during visits and reviews.

Role Expectations:

  • Travel: Frequent travel between assigned Western State locations.
  • Location Proximity: Must live within reasonable proximity to the assigned restaurants.
  • Schedule: Approximately 55 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Financial Management: Analyze P&L statements, optimize revenue streams, and manage costs effectively. Use financial data to make informed decisions and prioritize initiatives.
  • Operational Execution: Oversee all operational needs, from guest experience to compliance and maintenance. Handle emergencies efficiently and effectively.
